Yarnell Elementary School District 52, known as Model Creek School, is proud home of the Nighthawks, grades Pre-K through 8th. The Campus is located in beautiful Peeples Valley, Arizona. In addition to being their Grant Specialist, I am the part time music teacher. Today we received the fantastic news that our grant proposal was awarded in the amount of $35,000 for staffing needs. Thanks to an award from the Gila River Indian Community, the school is able to hire and retain a Behavioral Guidance Interventionist. The purpose of this role is to provide support for the students in making appropriate choices in and out of the classroom, which will facilitate student engagement, and enhance the learning environment. Additionally, the overall culture of the school is extensively impacted for the better. Congratulations, MCS Students! You deserve it.
