Grants for Fire Departments

I was hired as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for the FEMA Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant at Yarnell Fire District in February 2015.  It was one the most amazing experiences of my life. The grant offers a four year Period of Performance. which ended in March 2018. I applied on behalf of the department again this year. Today I received word that our proposal was funded.  How exciting is that?! We received a four-year award in the amount of $316,806 that will pay for the recruitment and retention, stipends, training and uniforms for volunteer firefighters. The announcement came on the heels of finding out that my proposal to the FEMA Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $61,4oo (including a 5% match) was funded for a Source Capture Exhaust System!

To date, I am almost at $1 million in funding for various organizations in 2018. How can I help your organization?

Let’s start by visiting the Grants Education page – I promise this is a well worth it exercise for learning how to find and write proposals. Can I guarantee your award? Of course not! Can I guarantee I’ll help you have the best chance? Absolutely, because I am dedicated to helping organizations reach their funding goals. Let’s talk, okay?
